BALLET AND DANCE MIX



Little bit of everything!


The first part of the class is based on ballet technique and the second part is a try of different dance styles such as flamenco, folk, jazz, tap etc.


Children will gain strength and flexibility and have fun. They will learn different choreographies and through the rehearsals prepare for the performances.







BALLET


Ballet is a great way to gain basic for all kind of dances. It helps you have a nice posture and alignment develop rhythm and grace. Our ballet classes are fun and up-to-date and build on Russian style and traditions.

 Ballet for tiny tots is designed for children from 3 yrs to enhance their confidence and natural love of movement.


Children from 6 yrs can start study ballet on more regular basis and take part in the performances.


Students will be able to work through recognized ballet grades according to ability and experience and take exams. However, the classes will not just be geared towards exams, and there will be a strong emphasis on developing a child's joy of dance, encouraging freedom of expression and building creativity.


Adults’ ballet classes for beginners improvers or more advanced dancers will be available, also private tutoring.









FLAMENCO



Flamenco is a passionate and exiting dance. It was born in south of Spain as a result of mixture of different cultures such as Spanish, Arab, Jewish and Gypsies from India.


Children from 6 years old will learn to hold posture, rhythm develop their co-ordination. Also they can learn more about how the music and dance is enhanced with the hand clapping – palmas, castanets, shawls and fans.

Adults will enjoy the rhythms not less than children and learn exiting powerful dance which does not have age limits


You use every part of the body when dancing flamenco, and co-ordinating hands, arms, feet, legs and your upper body while dancing with your face is quite a challenge. But it is excellent exercise and you leave your troubles in the changing room: there is simply not enough space in your head for more than the dance you’re learning.


For the first time comfortable clothes and shoes with low heels are acceptable, but if you decide to learn flamenco properly you will soon want to buy the shoes and women the skirt as there is a technique to dancing with a long heavy skirt that can only be developed with practice.










TAP DANCE



Tap dance has many origins and nowadays can take many forms, but all of them are lively and fun. Tap is also a great way to develop poise, balance and rhythm and is widely used in musical theatre and show dance. Students will learn different styles of tap, from modern show-style tap to a more laid-back authentic street tap, using modern music and jazz rhythms.










LATIN AND BALLROOM




Latin and ballroom dance is a great form of social and competition dance, danced with a partner. However, you do not need a partner to attend the class. Latin consists of many rhythms including jive, cha-cha, samba, rumba and paso doble, but students will also learn the basics of other rhythms such as salsa, merengue and mambo. Ballroom covers dances such as waltz, quickstep, tango, Viennese waltz and foxtrot.













JAZZ AND SHOW DANCE




Jazz dance is fun packed with traditional choreography and is dance style most associated with west musicals such as Chicago, Fame, West side story or Cats! Get a sample of this traditional dance style for fun!


Children will gain stage and body awareness and decrease inhibitions.











STREET DANCE




Street dance is an umbrella term, used to describe dance styles that evolved outside of dance studios in everyday spaces such as streets, parks, school yards, raves, nightclubs and more historically, in any available open spaces. They are often improvisational and social in nature, encouraging interaction and contact with spectators and the other dancers. Some examples include B-boying that originated in New York City, Melbourne Shuffle that originated in Melbourne and Tecktonik which originated in France.
